Hey all. I can't believe it's been so long since my last post. Time is sure flying by! As you know, I joined the gym last Sunday, went on Tuesday to have my program made up and have worked out 3 times! I was slightly disappointed with the program that was made up and the fact the trainer didn't really seem that motivational! I said to him, while I was on the treadmill, if I should go faster, and he said just to go with whatever is comfortable. Hello!!! I said to him comfortable was sitting on the couch watching TV!! Anyway, after this all I was really interested was in how to use some of the machines and I will be doing my own program. I started the Couch to 5K on Thursday - wasn't too bad at all! I did that then some time on the X-trainer. First workout of 2009 totaled 45 mins. Not bad! I guess I can do more than I thought I could. Just wished I felt as confident as I did when I worked out before. I'm sure this will come back in time and I start losing some fat!
I did Jillian Michaels 30 day shred today. OMG! It was HARD!! I need to get my stamina up and start liftin' the weights again! I think I'll go back to the Body for Life program and do my couch to 5K for my cardio. Exciting!!
Well, my dinner is almost ready ...........chicken and rice.......yummy!!

Good job keeping it up at the gym!!
ReplyDeletePersonal trainers are sometimes like therapists...you have to work with a few to get to one you really like! :)
ReplyDeleteKeep up the workouts girl! Have a great week!
Jess
Sorry your trainer wasn't a great one. I am a personal trainer and I know a lot of my colleagues around the world work for the money, not the satisfaction of helping people. Jessica is right...you have to kiss a few frogs first :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the rest of the workouts!!
The Here is a great article about motivation
