Tae Bo!!!

Wow! I just had an amazing workout. I'll admit I haven't had a decent workout in ages. My only exercise just now has been walking. I STILL haven't tried out my adjustabells yet, though they seem easy to use. I decided to put on one of my old Tae Bo workouts that I had on VHS and converted it to DVD a few years ago. I had most of the Tae Bo series and regularly did the Advanced Tae Bo that lasted an hour! I even have the Boot Camp series with the Billy Bands. Man, was I fit back in the day! lol

So I have just completed the basic workout - 30 minutes, and I KNOW, without a doubt, that I will not be able to walk properly tomorrow - my legs are sore already! And I FEEL AWESOME for having done it!!

Hopefully I will get back to blogging regularly soon, just been busy with bits and bobs and work!

Hope you are all having a great day :-)

A beautiful weekend!

Hey everyone! Wow, I can't believe a week has already passed since I last blogged! Last week was fantastic weight wise - I lost a total of 8.6 pounds! Yeeee haaaa! I'm currently at 171.2, so I am almost at my second goal in my side bar =) The only problem I have now is that I never feel hungry and have to force myself to eat, and I'm finding that I can't be bothered eating or making anything to eat. I'm not constantly thinking about food, bingeing, or what "bad" things I can eat, which is an amazing freeing thing for me. Usually I can be sitting at work, thinking about what sweets and chocolates I can buy at lunch break and totally not concentrating on work. Now, I'm getting on with work, and before I know it, it's lunchtime!

This weekend was brilliant. The weather was beautiful, although Saturday was cool, Sunday was definitely a hint of summer! Well for Scotland anyway :-) On Saturday my dad and me went to Balloch, which is a tiny wee place at the mouth of Loch Lomond. It was beautiful. I took some photos..........

Now this next picture is soooo cute; no it's not of me... ha ha ha! It's wee ducklings following its mother! If you click on it, you can enlarge it and see the wee chicklets!

Sunday was just a lazy day, just walked Molly in the warm sunshine. As Kenny and I are off on vacation leave this week, we took a short drive to Loch Lomond and stopped off at a place called Firkin Park. The weather was warm and sunny when we set off, but by the time we arrived, the clouds and rolled in and it was a bit chillier. We let Molly off lead, and tried to get her to go into the water, but she was rather hesitant!

Then she got a bit braver!

A beautiful view!

Me!

When we were on our way back home, the sun came out, and I stopped the car in one of the many parking lay bys!
The view was beautiful!!

I hope you enjoyed seeing a part of Scotland. It's just an amazingly stunning country, and if the weather was great all the time, it would be even better! Have a wonderful evening :-)

I reached my first Goal!

Happy Easter Monday! Did you all have a nice Easter? I just had a relaxing day at home. Just chilled out and watched TV. No chocolate eggs here!

When I started Atkins on Thursday, my start weight was 179.8. Which I hadn't recorded because I knew it would go down again! This morning when I stepped on the scale, my weight was down to 174.4!!! I have reached my first goal listed in my side bar, and I've lost 5.4lbs in just 4 days =) Now I know that probably includes water loss, but I have never lost that much weight doing WW or any other plan. And with eating this much food, it's just brilliant! I made cauliflower pizza today, which I have had before, and it is delicious! You could alter this recipe to make it more WW friendly too! After all the cauliflower has no points! Here is the recipe:

Cauliflower Pizza - courtesy of Cleo!
1 cup of cauliflower
1 cup shredded mozzarella
1 egg

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Beat the egg in a bowl, and add the mozzarella.

Cook the cauliflower (I use frozen) according to instruction, drain and let cool. Once cool, use a grater to grate the cauliflower (it will have a rice-like consistency). You need an amount to fill a cup, but just fill it loosely, don't pack it in there. Mix into the egg and mozzarella.

Spread onto a baking sheet sprayed with oil, quite thinly. Bake for about 20 mins. When cooked use whatever toppings you want for your pizza! It's delicious!

Let me say, this DOES taste like a real pizza, especially the next day if you have it cold :-)

I hope my progress continues like this - I will keep posting about my progress!

Have a great day everyone!

It's Friday Night...and I feel alright!

I was off work today for the Easter holidays! Yay! Also off on Monday too, so a nice long weekend! I got my adjustabells (adjustable dumbbells!) delivered on Tuesday but haven't used them yet - it was a work out in itself getting them to the car as I got them delivered to work - I had to carry one of them all the way to my car, which, by the way, is usually a five minute walk, then go back and get the other one! Luckily I spotted a space closer to my work on the way to my car, so I hopped in the car and parked a wee bit closer. Man, I could feel my biceps the next day!

So my eating hadn't been that great this week until yesterday when I decided to start Atkins. Now, I have done Atkins before, this time last year I did it for a whole 5 weeks! I failed that time because we had just got Molly when I was in the middle of week 5, and with all the running around I did, I wasn't eating for a couple of days then caved in and had a pizza from Pizza Hut! I know a lot of people shun Atkins, but I find the first few days quite hard, and from then on quite easy as my appetite is diminished. I'm doing induction for 2 weeks, then I will add in a few more things, like Peanut Butter, Almond Butter and just have fun with all the recipes that are out there that don't include tons of steak, which I love, but don't want to eat that all the time. So I will see how I go with this WOE and see if it is for me.

It's almost time for bed here, but first I need to take Molly out on her night walk! I hope you all have a great weekend! I will update my weight tracker tomorrow - I hope it has moved!!!

Nike + and adjustable weights.

It is always the way that I don't workout for ages, then I do a whole lot all at once! Today I walked 3 times, once at lunchtime for a total of 3.05km, after work for 3.76km and tonight for a wee 1.25km, which is 8.06km total! Which is great for me! My diet has been awful these last few days. It's TOM and I had a migraine all weekend, and of course, I kept fuelling it with sugar, chocolate and bread stuff! Though I am overjoyed my weight is still hovering at 178lbs. I am not going back to Weight Watchers. My friend and I have decided rather than spending all that money to get weighed and for someone to tell us what we already know, we are just going to weigh ourselves at work every Thursday morning and keep track that way. Of course I will always keep my first thing Saturday morning weigh ins before eating! Ha ha! That will be what my tracker above reflects! At least we can keep ourselves accountable if we are weighing each other on the Thursdays! I also bought these from Amazon!

It's 2 adjustable weights, similar to Bowflex SelectTech, but not as fancy! The weights range from 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25lbs, so I should be able to get a decent workout! And once my strength is back up, I still have the olympic weights and EZ curl bar too.

I just want to thank everyone too, for their supportive comments in the past couple of posts. It's amazing to me that you take the time to comment and read my blog and offer your help and support! You are all incredibly cool and inspirational!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

:-D
Phooey! I went to Weight Watchers tonight. Last week, which I forgot to blog about, I lost 2.5lbs - and I was sooo happy because that was the lowest weight I had been at Weight Watchers. So yesterday was a bad day, and today my weight was back up 2.5lbs. It's like a yo-yo! Whyyyy??? lol I know it can't possibly 2.5lbs of fat in one day, so next week I hope it's way back down :-) Here's hoping anyway! It was our leader's last night. She is leaving to have a foot operation and to spend the summer with her husband who works in Dubai. She just felt that if she was going to be off most of the time that it wasn't fair on us to keep having different leaders every week, so a new person is taking over next week. I just hope she is as motivating as our previous leader! She was amazing and really kept us interested.

So I am going to have a relaxing night. Have a nice dinner and get an early night!

Have a good night everyone :-D
