Bike Ride!

Yesterday, Good Friday, it was a glorious warm and sunny day here in Bonny Scotland!  I started the day off with a 40 minute walk with Molly.  When I got home, I had a protein shake and a banana for Brunch.  Watched a bit of TV and then decided to go for a bike ride!

I cycled just under 13 miles, which I think is pretty good for me, since it was only my 2nd outing on the bike this year.  My last bike ride a couple of weeks ago was only 3.55 miles!  It felt so good to be out in the sun with the warm air on my face.  I cycled along the Forth and Clyde Canal, which is pretty scenic in parts.  I passed a lovely pub which was right on the canal.  It was sooo busy!  The cycle path actually goes straight through the outdoor seating area!  I cycled to my gym, and then headed out a bit further before deciding to head home again!  I burned a whopping 1079 calories on this bike ride.  It took me about an hour and a half.

Cycling to the gym for a workout is also next on my agenda...... =)

Next time I am out on the bike I am aiming to cycle to Speirs Wharf in Glasgow city centre!  I think that would be about a 20 mile round trip.  Here are just a few photos I took with my iPhone.  Next time I am going to take my small Canon digital camera. And if I kit my bike out with a front basket, I may take my DSLR one day.

This is my awesome gym - with the outdoor pool and tennis courts!
Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo of the pool :-(

My awesome bike.....

Nice and Peaceful!

Those houses were gorgeous!  I wanna live there!

River Clyde - I detoured down to this part on my way home.

All these photos are out of order!  I couldn't seem to get them in the right place....sooo annoying.

I recently bought Dance Central for Xbox Kinect from Ebay and on Friday night had myself a little dance tuition!  I'm telling you, some of the dances on DC were straight up hard!  I was sweating buckets by the time I had switched it off!  I was more than awesome dancing to Lady Gaga - Just Dance............ ;-)

So, tomorrow is Easter Sunday.  And I have a Creme Egg Easter Egg that is tucked up in the fridge!  I can't wait to have half of it tomorrow.  Hopefully, Kenny will have the other half so that I'm not tempted by it and eat the whole thing!

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter holiday - I'll be back soon with another weigh in =)
